1) Leave bandage on for
1 1/2 hours. |
|
2) Take bandage off but
dampen slightly, so it does not stick to the tattoo. |
|
3) Wash the new tattoo
in cool water and get old ointment off of tattoo. Use a mild
fragrance-free antibacterial soap. |
|
4) Pat dry. DO NOT RUB ! |
|
5) Apply a light coat of
A&D ointment to tattoo. |
|
6) Wash again before
going to bed, repeating steps 3-5. |
|
7) For the next 3 to 4
days, wash tattoo at least 4-5 times a day, applying ointment after
each washing. |
|
8) When tattoo starts to
peel, stop using A&D ointment. Switch to moisturizer, applying as
often as needed until peeling is done. |
|
9) Do not scratch or
pick tattoo. |
|
10) Do not expose tattoo
to direct sunlight for 2 weeks. |
|
11) Avoid soaking tattoo
for 2 weeks. |
|
12) Do not swim in salt
or chlorinated water for 2 weeks. |
|
13) After tattoo is
healed, use sunblock on the tattoo whenever it is exposed to direct
sun. |
